Prince William Offers Brief Look Inside New Windsor Home With Kate Middleton

Prince William has offered royal watchers an unexpected look inside his new residence with Princess Kate after filming a video message for the Royal British Legion’s Remembrance Assembly earlier this week. Viewers quickly shifted attention from the Prince’s message to the room around him. Gold crown molding lined the walls. Behind him hung deep red curtains. Blue wallpaper and framed photos added to the backdrop. The brief clip gave the public its first real sense of Forest Lodge, the family’s new home in Windsor Great Park.

William and Kate, both forty three, completed their move out of Adelaide Cottage earlier this month. Their new property features eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, a sunken fence designed for privacy, a tennis court and a large pond. A source previously explained that the move represents a fresh chapter for the family. It is seen as a sign of growing independence and a chance to create a stable base for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis as they approach the years when boarding school becomes likely.

A Home Built for Stability and the Future

According to insiders, William and Kate remain firm about protecting their boundaries. They want to maintain their mental wellbeing and family life while balancing increasing royal responsibilities. It has even been suggested that they plan to stay at Forest Lodge once William becomes king. The idea of a monarch not living at Buckingham Palace may sound unusual to the public. However, palace insiders note that King Charles himself has long preferred spending time outside central London.

The timing of the Wales family’s move also coincided with major changes elsewhere in Windsor. Last month, Buckingham Palace confirmed that Andrew Mountbatten Windsor would be leaving Royal Lodge after receiving formal notice to surrender the lease. The palace stated that he will relocate to private accommodation. His change of title and the loss of Royal Lodge follow continued scrutiny over his ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew has denied Virginia Giuffre’s allegations since they were first made public.

In their statement, the King and Queen expressed sympathy for all survivors of abuse. Forest Lodge, meanwhile, marks the beginning of a calmer, more private period for William, Kate and their children.
