Prince William and Kate Middleton’s sweet PDA when ‘cameras drop’

Prince William and Kate Middleton are often seen as the more reserved royal couple, especially when compared to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, who are well known for their public displays of affection.

But according to one royal expert, the Prince and Princess of Wales are not nearly as formal as they appear.

In fact, when the cameras aren’t rolling, William and Kate share their own moments of tenderness.

William and Kate’s Subtle PDA Moments

Royal correspondent and bestselling author Katie Nicholl, who wrote Kate: The Future Queen, says she has “spent hours with Kate Middleton” and witnessed firsthand the difference in their behavior off-camera.

Speaking ahead of William and Kate’s 15th wedding anniversary next April, Nicholl revealed:
“I’ve been with them on many occasions, and when the cameras drop, you’ll often see them walk away and Kate will put an arm around his waist, or he’ll place his hand in the small of her back.”

She added, “There’s a lovely closeness between them, and whereas at the start of their marriage they seemed shy a

bout being affectionate in public, they’re so much more confident now.”

Looking Ahead to Their Crystal Anniversary

As the couple prepare to celebrate 15 years of marriage, Nicholl predicts they will likely mark the milestone in their usual understated way. “They tend to do things in a low-key way, but it wouldn’t surprise me to see them do something special to recognise 15 years of marriage next year,” she said.

This year, the pair celebrated with a trip to the Isle of Mull in the Inner Hebrides, a place tied to their love story in Scotland. Fans were thrilled by the candid photos they shared on social media during the visit.

A Royal Love Story

William and Kate married on April 29, 2011, in a lavish ceremony at Westminster Abbey, broadcast to more than 180 countries and watched by millions. The couple’s story began years earlier at the University of St Andrews in 2001, wher

e their friendship slowly blossomed into romance.

Now, nearly 15 years later, the Prince and Princess of Wales are parents to three children: Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, seven.

Their journey together has been marked by duty, devotion, and, as it turns out, a quiet tenderness that shines through when the cameras are no longer watching.
