Prince Harry’s demands to royals revealed before UK visit — and one involves Meghan Markle: report

Prince Harry has allegedly drawn up a list of conditions ahead of his return to the UK — demands that have reportedly left palace aides “reeling.”

The Duke of Sussex, 40, is expected to reunite with King Charles next week in what would be their first face-to-face meeting in 20 months.

But according to celebrity publicist Rob Shuter, Harry has set out several requirements that must be met before any potential peace talks can take place.

Reported Conditions for Peace Talks

In his latest Substack, Shuter — formerly Jennifer Lopez’s publicist — claimed that sources close to the “Spare” author revealed some of Harry’s alleged requests.

Among them are:

• “Full security” for himself and his family.

• “Press control” to be coordinated directly by Buckingham Palace.

• Meghan Markle to be addressed and treated as Her Royal Highness, “complete with bows and curtsies” during her presence.

One insider told Shuter: “Harry doesn’t want another trip where he feels unprotected and exposed. He wants iron-clad guarantees — not vague promises. Security and privacy are non-negotiable.”

Security Concerns and Meghan’s Absence

Harry has long maintained that his family cannot travel with him to Britain without official police protection, something he lost his appeal for earlier this year in English courts.

Although security is said to be a sticking point, it is understood that Harry will travel alone this time. Meghan — who has not returned to the UK since September 2022 — will remain in Montecito, California, with their children Archie, 6, and Lilibet, 4.

The King’s Perspective

Despite the duke’s reported list of demands, insiders claim King Charles is eager for peace. One source explained: “Charles wants peace and to see his son, but these demands risk blowing open old wounds.”

Another insider added: “Harry’s offering reconciliation — but at a price. And that price includes the entire royal family bowing to Meghan.”

Representatives for Harry, along with Buckingham and Kensington Palaces, have not commented on the claims.

Timing of the Visit

Harry’s upcoming trip coincides with the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s death. It also follows reports that his press team recently met with the late monarch’s communications secretary for a discreet meeting in London.

Although these developments suggest progress, Harry himself admitted in May that his father was not speaking to him at the time. Still, the duke told the BBC that he would “love a reconciliation” with his family.
