Prince Harry Is Low-Key Plotting A Royal Family Reunion

In my experience, most family reunions are loud, sweaty, and involve matching T-shirts that someone ordered off Etsy. So when I heard that Prince Harry might be planning his own version of a family reunion, that’s exactly what I pictured. But let’s be real — it’s hard to imagine the royal family flipping burgers at a backyard BBQ. That’s not exactly their vibe.

Still, it sounds like something resembling a reunion could actually be on the horizon — one that doesn’t involve potato salad but might include medals, military uniforms, and a lot of cautious small talk.

The Royals’ Long-Running Rift

Harry’s relationship with his family has been rocky for years. He’s been largely estranged from both his brother, Prince William, and his father, King Charles, ever since he and Meghan Markle traded palace life for sunny California.

The brothers did briefly cross paths at their uncle’s funeral in 2024 and again during the Queen’s funeral in 2022, but neither event was exactly a warm family get-together. By all accounts, conversations were minimal — and tension was high.

Harry’s Hope for Reconciliation

Now, Harry is reportedly hoping to change that. According to new reports, he has a plan to reunite with William and Charles — and it all revolves around the Invictus Games.

The Invictus Games, founded by Harry in 2014, is a global multi-sport event celebrating wounded and injured veterans. The next games are set for 2027, and according to a Mail on Sunday source, Harry is planning to extend “an olive branch” to his family by inviting both his brother and father to attend.

“Invictus hopes the royal family will come along to support the wounded veterans taking part,” the source said. “Harry is hopeful his father will set aside their differences to attend the Invictus Games and support veterans.”

It may seem early to be sending out invitations, but royal schedules are planned years in advance — so the groundwork for a 2027 reunion is already being laid.

“There’s No Point in Continuing to Fight”

In May, Harry told the BBC that he’d “love reconciliation” with his family, admitting, “There’s no point in continuing to fight anymore.”

Whether that olive branch will be accepted remains to be seen. But if there’s one thing we know about royal reunions, it’s that they rarely go according to plan — and they definitely don’t come with matching shirts.
