Meghan Markle is offering a closer look into her life with Prince Harry.
In a newly released Harper’s Bazaar interview from Nov. 19, the 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex speaks candidly about how she has learned to stay grounded after years of intense public scrutiny. “I think my boundaries became stronger,” she shared. “You find different ways to protect yourself.”
A Look at Her Connection With Harry
Naturally, the conversation turns to Harry, whom she lovingly calls “H.”
“He loves me so boldly, fully, and he also has a different perspective because he sees media that I wouldn’t,” she said. “No one in the world loves me more than him, so I know he’s always going to make sure that he has my back.”
Part of what first captivated her, Meghan explained, is Harry’s “childlike wonder and playfulness.”
“I was so drawn to that, and he brought that out in me,” she said. “That’s translated into every part of our life. Even in business, I want us to play and have fun and explore and be creative.”

A Blend of Motherhood, Work, and Creativity
Meghan said that this sense of joy carries into her professional endeavors as well. She loves working from home on her lifestyle brand, As ever, because it allows her to stay near their two children, Prince Archie, 6, and Princess Lilibet, 4. She added that she’s learning to embrace balance, especially as she and Harry have started attending more public events again, from Paris Fashion Week to major Hollywood galas.
“I love being able to do both,” she said. “To play in the sandbox with my kids and to play in the front row at a show. I think the moment that you start making all of your personal decisions based on external judgment, then you lose your authenticity.”
Meghan on the Cover of Harper’s Bazaar
For the magazine’s Art Issue, Meghan appears on the cover wearing a black suit with an open neckline and a tied waist. She poses on a stool, facing the camera directly with a fresh, makeup-free look.
These new photos and the interview arrive as Meghan gears up for the holiday episode of With Love, Meghan, which premieres Dec. 3 on Netflix. The trailer—released Nov. 19—offers glimpses of crafts, holiday fun, and even a Prince Harry cameo. The episode features Naomi Osaka, chef and Top Chef judge Tom Colicchio, hospitality expert Will Guidara, philanthropist and close friend Kelly McKee Zajfen, and Meghan’s longtime friend, author and producer Lindsay Roth.
The timing also coincides with the release of As ever’s first holiday collection, which includes candles, fruit spreads, and honey—some of which appear in the trailer.

Growth Through Reinvention
Meghan’s previous major magazine interview was with PEOPLE in March, when she introduced both As ever and her new series With Love, Meghan—a time marked by public criticism.
“There are tons of twists and turns — even with the name,” she admitted, noting trademark issues and the shift from American Riviera Orchard to As ever. “I was figuring it out in real time.”
She said the journey ultimately shaped her in meaningful ways. “I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also to be forgiving with myself through that. It’s a learning curve,” she shared.
Harry’s Joy Watching Her Reignite Her Passions
Meghan also reflected on how much Harry is enjoying seeing her step back into entrepreneurship.
“My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me,” she said.
“It’s almost like a honeymoon period again,” she added. “Because it’s exactly how it was in the beginning when he’d watch me scribbling away, writing newsletters, fine-tuning edits and just really being in the details of it. I think he loves watching as much as I love doing that creative process. It’s just been fun. This is who I’ve always been.”
