Looks like Mike Myers has landed himself in hot water, as the comedian has apparently rubbed Elon Musk the wrong way with his impersonation of the billionaire.
Meanwhile, Washington has turned into a political circus, with the biggest headline being a disastrous meeting between former President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s leader, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Tensions ran high during Zelenskyy’s White House visit, especially after Vice President JD Vance told him he should be grateful to Trump for providing aid.
Things spiraled into chaos, with debates over Zelenskyy’s attire, accusations that he insulted Vance with an expletive, and the entire encounter turning into a spectacle.
Although Musk wasn’t involved in the meeting, he found himself caught in the controversy after Myers mocked the situation in a Saturday Night Live skit.

With James Austin Johnson delivering a solid Trump impression, Myers Musk made an entrance wielding a chainsaw, poking fun at his appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference, where Argentina’s President Javier Milei presented him with a gilded chainsaw.
Taking aim at Musk’s fictional role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency—along with mass layoffs in government agencies and a rise in plane crashes—Myers-Musk quipped: **“We’re not going to get it perfect, you know. But we are firing the non-essential employees like air traffic controllers.
“And sure, some of the planes are going to land upside down. But then the luggage falls right into your lap and you’re ready to go.”**
Bowen Yang also joined the skit as J.D. Vance, addressing Mikey Day’s Zelenskyy with: “You haven’t said thank you for the past 15 seconds since I’ve been yelling at you.”
SNL’s cold open paid tribute to a real-life exchange between Trump and Zelenskyy, recreating the moment when Trump remarked: “You’re not in a good position. You don’t have the cards right now with us.”
Zelenskyy quickly shot back: “I’m not playing cards right now, I’m very serious Mr. President. I am a wartime president.”
Humor fails when it lies

In a recent Saturday Night Live skit, the show’s version of Donald Trump delivered a string of witty one-liners while playing a game of Uno. “I have ‘skip.’ I have ‘draw four.’ I have ‘reverse.’ I have ‘get out of jail free’ — the Supreme Court gave me that one.”
Meanwhile, Myers’ portrayal of Elon Musk featured him wearing a “Tech Support” T-shirt—an apparent nod to the real Musk’s attire during Trump’s first cabinet press conference. That meeting was notably awkward, with Trump joking that he’d fire anyone who didn’t think Musk was doing a great job.
This isn’t the first time SNL has poked fun at the billionaire. Dana Carvey previously portrayed Musk, but the Tesla CEO wasn’t amused, writing on X in November 2024: “Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey.”
Now, it seems Myers’ take hasn’t fared much better in Musk’s eyes. He criticized the skit, stating: “Humor fails when it lies.”
Musk wasn’t alone in his opinion—others online also took issue with the performance. One user remarked: “I wouldn’t call this ‘funny,’ but Myers’ Musk impression is really brutal.” Another agreed, saying: “Yeah! The talent is missing at SNL these past couple of years. It’s more like SNUZ. Perhaps a result of DEI.”
Some took the opportunity to mock the entire situation, with one commenter writing: “This is exactly what happened in the White House. And yes, this is not funny – this is a shame for the US to have such people in power.”
