During the wedding, the dog attacked one of the guests, who was hiding something under her dress.

A village wedding brings everyone together: everyone has come to share the joy of the newlyweds. Guests laugh, sing, and raise toasts. Music echoes from everywhere.

And no one noticed how, from the direction of the forest, a stranger in a long, green dress slowly approached the cheerful crowd. She walked without haste. Her face was calm, but under the hem of her dress she was hiding something.

None of the people paid attention to the appearance of the unknown. No one — except Ben.

An old but faithful dog, belonging to the groom’s friend, lay in the shade under a table. It had followed its master all morning without leaving him, but now it stood still, staring at the woman. Its ears were erect, its tail was stiff, and the fur on its back was ruffled.

Ben felt something was wrong.

The woman was approaching. She was already a few meters from the bride and groom. Suddenly, the dog jumped out of its place.

He ran straight towards the stranger. The guests turned around. Everyone was horrified when Ben started barking angrily at the woman, grabbed her dress with his teeth and threw her to the ground.

The next moment an explosion was heard.

A deafening noise echoed throughout the area. People fled in terror in all directions, some screaming, others throwing themselves to the ground.

The explosion occurred far from the crowd—at the edge of the field, where Ben had managed to push the woman.

After the wedding, it was discovered that the woman was a terrorist.
The explosive device hidden under her dress was ready to be activated. If it had reached the crowd, casualties would have been inevitable. But it didn’t work.

At the cost of his own life, Ben saved dozens of people.
He died together with the woman.

The next day, they buried him near the old oak tree on the edge of the village. Everyone came—the bride and groom, the guests, the neighbors. They placed a plaque on his grave that read:

“During the wedding, the dog attacked one of the guests, who was hiding something under her dress.”
