King Charles ‘keener than ever’ to see Harry’s children

Prince Harry, who is reportedly longing for his life in the UK, is more committed than ever to resolving the security issue that’s preventing him and Meghan from bringing their children to his home country.

When they stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and ceased to be working royals, the Sussexes lost the entitlement to security protection provided by the British police, a decision Harry now intends to challenge once again.

As reported by People, the Duke “is preparing to appeal a court ruling that upheld the decision to deny him security.”

Getting his and his family’s security reinstated would allow for more flexible trips to his home country, meaning his children would be able to spend time with their British relatives, especially their grandfather, King Charles. In fact, Harry believes that his father is the only one who can make a difference when it comes to the security issue.

“Harry is frightened and feels the only person who can do anything about it is his father,” a royal insider shared with the magazine.

“Harry is determined to protect his own family at all costs,” another source claimed.

Harry’s belief that the issue of securing official security while in the UK is tied to his father has only strained their relationship further. According to a source, Harry is “emotionally blackmailing” his father by refusing to bring his children to him unless the security situation is resolved in the way he and Meghan have envisioned.

Unfortunately, King Charles has only been able to see Archie a few times, and Lili just once. As time passes, the monarch grows increasingly saddened by his distance from his grandchildren.

A source shared with US Weekly that not being able to see his younger son’s children has “left a massive hole in his heart, as he’s only spent a few fleeting days with them, followed by video calls on important occasions.”

According to the Mirror, Charles “has had discussions” about potentially visiting Harry and his family in the U.S. “at some time in the future.”

Royal expert Tom Quinn shared his thoughts with the newspaper, stating, “There is no doubt if it goes ahead he would build in time to visit his youngest son and his grandchildren, but there are mountains of planning to be overcome before that becomes even a remote possibility.”

He added, “It’s certainly possible that he would make a discreet private visit to Harry and the children in California. He is desperate to see them and hates the idea that Archie and Lily will not remember him as the warm, friendly grandfather he wants to be.”

Relationship expert Louella Alderson also weighed in, telling the Mirror that the King’s desire to visit his son and family is a significant gesture. However, given his royal duties and delicate health, a trip to the U.S. “would likely require careful planning and coordination.”

It’s been reported that while the King enjoys FaceTiming with his US-based grandchildren, it’s not enough for him, as he deeply desires to be more involved in their lives.

A source shared that Charles is “keener than ever” to prioritize his family and make up for “lost time.”

“The King is absolutely committed to being present in all of his grandchildren’s lives. He values family above everything, and whatever the course of his relationship with his son, he would never be content with just seeing his grandchildren on the odd video call,” the source revealed.

We sincerely hope King Charles will be able to spend time with his grandchildren in person soon.
