Super Bowl fans ‘spot’ Taylor Swift’s three-word response to being booed by crowd

On Sunday (9 February), all eyes were on the Kansas City Chiefs as they faced off against the Philadelphia Eagles in one of the biggest sporting events of the year in the United States.

The Eagles dominated the game, securing a massive 40-22 victory over the Chiefs—leaving Taylor Swift visibly disappointed as she watched from the stands, cheering for her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, the tight end for the losing team.

At one moment during the game, it seemed like Taylor was booed by the crowd, and fans believe they’ve caught her three-word reaction to the awkward moment.

The 35-year-old “Cruel Summer” singer was spotted at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome alongside rapper Ice Spice and the Haim sisters.

When the cameras panned to her on the jumbotron, the crowd responded with a wave of boos.

Taylor didn’t seem too fazed—at first, she looked a little puzzled but quickly brushed it off with a smirk and a side-eye.

Fans believe she reacted by asking, “What’s going on?”

“She said ‘what’s going on’,” one social media user pointed out.

Swifties were quick to jump to her defense, with one writing: “God forbid a woman watches sports AND SUPPORTS HER BOYFRIEND??? Tf.”

“A second person praised her, saying, ‘She handled that with real class. A true queen.’ Meanwhile, someone else commented, ‘Notice how she didn’t care?? This is embarrassing, boys.’

Another critic questioned the intent behind the situation: ‘What do they think they accomplished? Like she doesn’t seem to even care about them. Unbothered queen.’

One user joked, ‘I think they need to calm down…’

And finally, another social media user chimed in with a more balanced take: ‘Look, I’m not a fan of Taylor at all and I find it weird that they always focus on her during games.. but… she isn’t controlling the camera. She has just as much right to be there as everyone else.'”

Even tennis legend Serena Williams weighed in, posting on Twitter: “I love you @taylorswift13 don’t listen to those booo!!”

Many people quickly pointed out the sharp contrast between Swift’s reception and that of President Donald Trump, who made history as the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl. One observer remarked: “Trump gets cheered by #SuperBowlLIX crowd and Taylor Swift is booed.”

Trump himself later addressed the situation on his social media platform, Truth Social, sharing a post that read: “Trump gets massive cheers at the Super Bowl while Taylor Swift gets booed.

“The world is healing!”
