Kate Middleton and Prince Wiliam’s big ‘America move’ – inside their plans

Kate Middleton and Prince William could be planning a ‘big move’ in the USA – with leading royal expert Jennie Bond shedding light on what she believes is going on

Prince William and Kate Middleton, who enjoy immense popularity in the United States, have reportedly reapplied for US trademarks for their Royal Foundation. This move has sparked speculation that the Royal couple may be planning to launch a charity stateside at some point in the future.

The application to the US Patent and Trademark Office is believed to include “printed race numbers, clothing, footwear, headgear,” suggesting potential plans for charity fun runs or races centred around mental health.

Despite this development and the encouraging news of the Princess of Wales gradually returning to work post her cancer treatment, former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond cautioned against reading too much into these actions. She expressed doubt that William and Kate are planning any significant ventures in America in the near future, reports OK! .

“I don’t think we should read too much into this, as it has been suggested this is more a case of housekeeping probably keeping the application within its legal time limits or something similar,” she stated. “There doesn’t seem to be any imminent move to launch an American initiative.”

Jennie issued a warning against reading too much into things, remarking: “But the very fact that they want to keep the application viable does suggest that, looking to the future, there may be new plans afoot,” and then adding cautiously, “And that of course is positive. I certainly wouldn’t want to put any kind of spin on the interest in moving into America. We shouldn’t try to set up imaginary rivalries between William and Catherine and Harry and Meghan. They’ve got enough problems without us adding more unfounded speculation.”

“But William and Catherine are clearly very popular in the United States. I’ve no doubt that if the Foundation can help with the many issues surrounding mental health worldwide, then that support would be welcomed… and would carry with it a good deal of heft because of William and Catherine.”

Kate disclosed recently that she had finished her chemotherapy for cancer, and just last Thursday 26 September, she stepped out publicly for the first time since the revelation. The Duchess attended the matinee show of the English National Ballet’s Giselle at Sadlers Wells theatre.

Stirred by the performance, Kate shared a heartfelt message via X: “Congratulations and thank you to @ENBallet and @Sadlers_Wells for the wonderfully powerful, moving and inspiring performance of Akram Khan’s Giselle. Creativity at its best! C”.

Kate is also gearing up for her return to Royal duties, announcing this week that she will host her annual charity carol concert at Westminster Abbey in December. The ‘Together At Christmas ‘ event, now in its fourth year, will be aired on ITV on Christmas Eve. She also held her first meeting at Windsor Castle on Wednesday 18 September, an Early Years meeting that supports early child development, a cause close to Kate’s heart.
