Meghan Markle ‘echoing Princess Diana on purpose’ with her ‘comments to Prince Harry’

Megjson Markle has been accused of echoing Princess Diana on purpose by a Royal expert who claimed the Duchess of Sussex is ‘happy with the association’

A Royal commentator has suggested that Meghan Markle is intentionally mirroring Princess Diana with her fashion sense. Speaking to Palace Confidential, The Mail on Sunday’s Editor at large Charlotte Griffiths expressed her conviction that the Duchess of Sussex deliberately channels Prince Harry’s late mother in her style and is quite open about it.

She asserted, “I don’t think it’s a coincidence. There are 10,000 pictures of Diana and 10,000 pictures of Meghan and you probably could match some things by coincidence.”

Continuing, Griffiths remarked, “I think she’s been doing it all along and I don’t think she’s even making a secret of it. I think there are times she definitely echoes Diana on purpose.”

Griffiths highlighted Meghan’s influence on Harry, noting, “We know that in the early stages of her relationship with Harry, she encouraged Harry to think a lot about her mother and his mother and she brought Diana up a lot in conversations and I think she is referencing Diana. I think she’s happy with the association.”

As Meghan readies to launch another business endeavour, Cesta Collectivea handbag brand she favored beforeis on her radar for investment. On her investment strategy, Meghan told the New York Times, “I spend a lot of time just Googling, looking for brands.”, reports the Express.

In a revealing chat, Meghan opened up about her online habits and effort to spotlight emerging fashion talents, stating: “When people are online looking for things or reading things, I’m trying to find great new designers, especially in different territories.”

She also spoke about her influential status, noting: “Times where I know there is a global spotlight, and attention will be given to each detail of what I may or may not be wearing.”

Further explaining her influence, she added that opting for particular designers was a conscious choice: “[T]hen I support designers that I have really great friendships with, and smaller, up-and-coming brands that haven’t gotten the attention that they should be getting … that’s one of the most powerful things that I’m able to do, and that’s simply wearing, like, an earring.”

While Meghan tries to uplift brands she believes in, her brand American Riviera Orchard is yet to flourish since its announcement earlier this year. PR expert Renae Smith, the Founder and director of Atticism, weighed in on American Riviera Orchard’s prospects in the Express, stating: “Determining the success of Meghan’s rose wine launch is challenging, given the crowded market of celebrity-endorsed wines.”

She went on to suggest: “It’s unlikely to target the premium wine connoisseurs but rather aims for a mid-market segment. The product appeals to Meghan’s followers who appreciate (and possibly sympathise with) her brand and story.”

“The eclectic mix of products; jams, dog biscuits, and now wine suggests a comprehensive target demographic: individuals who are home-oriented, enjoy baking, have pets, and cherish aspirational home-maker lifestyle narratives.”
