Meghan Markle’s bombshell career move uncovered and it’s bad news for the Royal Family

Meghan Markle has revealed new details about her next career steps — and it’s a direction that might not sit well with the royal family.

During her appearance at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women summit in Washington, D.C., the Duchess of Sussex, 44, discussed her growing business empire and creative plans for the months ahead. She touched on her As Ever lifestyle brand, her ongoing Netflix deal, and the future of her hit series With Love, Meghan.

When asked whether the show would return for a third season, Meghan gave a coy response. “The holiday special is coming out in November, and it’s a really good one,” she said with a smile. “So, we’re able to say eight episodes for two seasons — it’s a lot of work.”

The duchess then hinted that her team is exploring new ways to share content, moving beyond traditional TV formats. “I also recognize how much people want content in different sizes,” she explained. “Part of what we’re testing now is: it’s amazing to sit and watch a show for 30 minutes, but how can I give you a recipe in two minutes? Where can I share that with you? And how does that continue to grow As Ever? We’re exploring all the options of what that could look like.”

Her comments suggest a shift toward short-form digital videos and social media projects — a move that could help expand her personal brand, but may reignite tensions with her estranged in-laws.

Royal experts have long noted that senior royals remain wary of the Sussexes’ media ventures following years of public criticism directed at “The Firm.” British royal commentator Hilary Fordwich previously told Express: “Persistent lack of trust is the main reason why senior royals remain reluctant to engage in reconciliation efforts. Their concerns are well-founded — that any private family discussions could become public or be used for commercial projects. Meghan has no sense of duty toward the British public nor the institution.”

The tension deepened earlier this year after Prince Harry’s legal battle over his security arrangements in the U.K. Following the ruling against him in May, he claimed that King Charles “won’t speak to me because of this security stuff” and admitted he “doesn’t know how much longer my father has,” a remark that reportedly stunned palace insiders.

As Meghan continues to expand her brand in California and experiment with new forms of digital storytelling, her latest comments suggest she has no plans to slow down — even if her next moves spark more royal unease.
